Member of the Technical Staff

Vercel

  • Rebuilt and modernised Vercel's legacy CPQ with GTM, Finance, Deal Desk and Sales, migrating quoting onto the new billing platform. Designed modular, reusable quote APIs and a Pub/Sub-driven Salesforce sync behind the admin automations — opportunity, order and contract updates, approvals, quote locking — plus in-house DocuSign order form generation. Shipped configurable discounting primitives and Deal Desk guardrails to support seven-figure enterprise deals.
  • Led the design and implementation of a modernised purchase flow on the new in-house billing platform, using 3DS and Stripe Radar to substantially reduce fraud in domain purchases.
  • Owned and expanded event-driven enterprise contract automation from activation through order-to-cash: Pub/Sub contract activations create invoice schedules and set usage and overage pricing from quoted rate cards. Built reliable provisioning of seats, credits, features and entitlements, with retries and idempotency across every integration point — cutting contracts that need manual intervention by over 70%.
  • Assisted in the design and implementation of a new Billing Platform, so Vercel teams can launch products, change pricing models and get value to customers faster.

Senior Software Developer

Unity

  • Led the design and implementation of a Payment Methods Improvement initiative for Unity Gaming Services; identified a major blocker for local and limited payment methods that would have increased support requests and driven refunds/chargebacks. Authored the technical design document, aligned multiple commerce teams, and shipped features across several services enabling customers to use multiple currencies and payment methods across subscriptions.
  • Authored the Technical Design Doc laying the groundwork for Billing's major features (Budgets, Game Server Hosting Credits, and Free Tier Alerts), guiding the direction of the dev team.
  • Worked closely with Product Management partners to identify opportunities and refine priorities across competing Unity Gaming Services needs.
  • Contributed Python & SQL code to the Metered Billing ETL system, enabling credit-card-free trials of Unity Gaming Services products.
  • Removed credit card signup restrictions so customers could more easily access and evaluate UGS services. Implemented alerting to notify customers when they were approaching free-tier limits, and added controls to restrict access when non-paying customers exceeded free limits to reduce abuse risk and minimize costs.
  • Stabilized Billing dataflows, reducing incidents from 1–2 per week to less than one per month.
  • Enabled local-currency credit card transactions in non-USD countries, including local Korean cards, and worked with vendors — Zuora, Adyen — against Unity's payments goals.
  • Onboarded Game Server Hosting and Vivox to billing features like credit-card-free access and budget alerts. GSH was generating heavy support volume from surprise bills on expired or exhausted credits; alerting on credit status, plus visibility on the customer dashboard, cut those requests sharply because customers could disable services before running out.
  • Resolved PCI compliance tickets across the billing surface.

Software Developer

Unity

  • Developed an event-driven Consent Management solution to handle user consent and Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR) across Unity products including Ads, Analytics, and Game Services; participated in an on-call rotation and owned runbooks, alerts, and postmortems for the service.
  • Managed Jenkins pipelines and GitHub Actions across services to deploy Docker containers to GCP and Kubernetes; used Terraform to provision and manage cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborated with cross-functional groups including Legal, Ads developers, and Product to ensure consent management complied with global data privacy regulations including GDPR, CCPA, and PIPL.
  • Served as Scrum Master and revamped the team's agile workflow.
  • Ran technical interviews for junior software engineering candidates.

Software Systems Developer

Department of National Defence

  • Lead development and product ownership of an automated event filtering pipeline, from requirements through proof of concept, production release and maintenance. Security alerts fell from roughly five million a day to the low hundreds, with an auditable interface for analysts to filter the last mile by hand.
  • Contributed to an automated testing and VM orchestration platform letting users run tests across many platforms and inside complex network environments.
  • Worked with partners across the organisation and outside it to fold their in-demand products into that one testing platform.
  • Extended a wrapper over the PyVmomi VMware vSphere API for fine hardware control during cloning — faster, more reliable test runs — and maintained a C agent for VM orchestration.
  • Worked with security and compliance so every product met security policy, Canadian privacy law and our governing acts.
  • Mentored new team members and students on test-driven development, Splunk, full-stack Python and cyber security; ran customer interviews to judge whether features landed and to plan what came next.
